Believe is a powerful word. It’s defined as all those things that we trust are true without actually having proof. It’s one of those words that can mean so much and help us find our way.
I believe in a lot of things. Believing inspires hope. Believing strengthens faith. We can ask all the questions we want to make sense of this life, but in the end, when the answers we seek aren’t black and white, we believe.
If we didn’t believe in anything, what would there be?
I believe that God has a journey for each one of us. We can make all the plans we want, but in the end, it’s his plan we follow. I believe that we’ll one day again see the loved ones we’ve lost. I believe that with all my heart. I believe that people come into our lives to teach us the things we need to learn in this lifetime. I believe in so many things that lead me in this life.
I created this blog at the end of 2012, just before a major surgery. I was at a crossroads. Having cancer for the past 14 years was never something I feared until this surgery. And I prayed more than I had ever prayed. And my family prayed and all of my friends. And every one of my Catholic friends lit candles for me. And continue to do so. And I’ve come through it all with a new sense of purpose.
I’ve always looked at the world with the glass half full. No, it’s always been completely full for me. There’s no doubt that I love life, every single minute of it. Everything I do, I do with passion and purpose. And now, it’s all renewed.
And that is what this blog is all about.
