I have always looked at the world through rose-colored glasses, believing in all things possible. I believe in things unseen. I believe that there are very few coincidences in life. Yes, I sometimes believe in luck, and I most definitely believe in fate. I have very strong intuition that guides me daily. I believe that I can truly influence my very existence, if I just believe. I believe I can make a difference in my life and those around me. I believe that every day brings opportunities to learn something important. And that there are moments in our lives — seconds or minutes — just a fraction in time that change who we are and the way that we see life — that influence and teach us.
I call those wonderful moments of life — magic moments. Magic moments happen every day amongst your friends and family. You just have to take the time to notice. I’ll talk a lot about moments like this throughout my blog.
I am married to my best friend, Tom. It took me 30 years to find him, but when I did — it was magic. We make this journey together, everyday, every step of the way.
I’m a graphic designer by trade and own an advertising agency I founded in 2005. I love retro design, eco-friendly, upcycled and vintage finds. I love, love, love letterpress printing. I love typography. I love paper — printing paper, handmade paper — I’ve even been known to make some of my own paper. I love interior design, fashion design, photography. I love color. Of course my wardrobe has very little color, but I use color elsewhere when I design.
I love gardening. I love flowers, identifying flowers, pressing flowers in a big old wooden press. I love the outdoors, hiking in the Allegheny National Forest (when I used to be able to do that), spending time at the cabin, boating and fishing, star-gazing — laying back on the grass and watching the satellites in the earth’s rotation. I love to travel — the Caribbean, the Finger Lakes, Lake Erie, Ellicottville and road trips — just loving life. And sharing all these things with my husband, my family and my friends.
Always Believe is a collection of stories of my life and my struggle with always believing and trusting God, finding my way, and enjoying every moment in life that I can, based on the cancer cards that were dealt to me.
